A HISTORY.
- Charredarmour comic ran from 1993 to 2001.
- Its main character was Captain O’Ireland who had various adventures of daring do as well as being a good example to the folk of Ireland about how to live their lives.
- The comic featured other stories of adventure such as “Nazis versus Dinosaurs” (about a Nazi unit trapped in the past), “Finnigan Stick and the great Famine” and “The Yeats Brothers investigate (Jack and William form a “Hardy Boys” type mystery club)” and “The Black Tractor” (evil farm machinery in the countryside, as a tractor is driven by a demon).
- In 2001, following a high octane chase after Dr Octopox, Captain O’Ireland disapeared thus ending the series. Charredarmour limped along for another six weeks without him until the end came with the final issue that year.
- Following a national competition, a new Captain O’Ireland has been appointed with is adventures appearing online. The new Captain also has the role of presenting a useful guide to life and stuff which also appears on line.
- The new Captain has put together a team to assist him in fighting crime and other such things.

However, discovery and disillushionment resulted in the end of the 2nd Captain. His legacy is carried on in A Gazeless Stare!.
